Our Church Covenant

Having been led by the Spirit of God, we acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.  We believe that God confronts us in our daily lives and through the Scriptures, and we recognize our need for spiritual renewal. Therefore, we resolve :

To faithfully participate in the worship of God in the services of our church. To make prayer and meditation a part of our daily lives.  To seek to grow in Christian understanding through regular Bible study and other educational experiences. To encourage the spiritual growth of this congregation, our children, our families, and others whose lives we touch. To support our church and its ministries through the intentional giving of time, abilities, and financial resources with which God has blessed us. To spread the gospel of reconciliation which Christ has accomplished by seeking to win others to the living faith which we share. To affirm the universal nature of the Christian Church, by participating in ecumenical relationships at all levels of the church's life. To seek to know God's Will in the world, and to strive to do that Will by ministering in love to the needs of others and by applying Christian principles to social problems to help advance God's Kingdom. To live together in Christian fellowship, sharing each other's joys, bearing one another's burdens, and helping one another think, speak and act as Christians. May the Holy Spirit strengthen us in our resolve, and give us power and grace to walk in the way of faith, hope and love. In all that we do, we seek to live to the glory of our Lord who has called us out of darkness into His marvelous light.
