Welcome

Please consider this as your "official welcome" to the First Baptist Church of Painted Post.  Whether you are visiting the area or are looking for a home church, you are warmly invited to worship with us.  We are a loving congregation with diverse Christian beliefs and we revel in this diversity.   As American Baptists, we recognize the sacred worth of an individual’s relationship with God. We see our mission as constantly finding creative and exciting ways to celebrate and share the magnificent gift of God’s love in our lives.

We also realize that the journey to know God is an awesome and mysterious adventure. We do not pretend to have all the answers, but we are committed to honest, open and truthful discussions about what it means to be a Christian in this day and age.

Do you have a spiritual side of your life that is currently not being addressed?   Do you wonder how your thoughts, feelings, dreams, fears and hopes for the future can meaningfully exist in an infinite Universe of untold majesty and complexity?   Do you have questions and opinions about God?   Are you willing to risk sharing your life’s journey with a community of people who are searching like you are? If you can answer yes to any of these questions, we welcome you to join our congregation.

The mystery and grace of God’s Love are infinite. You are invited to celebrate with us the unfolding of both in the days to come.
