From The Pastor

Dear Sisters and Brothers,

We are in the midst of the Easter Season. The season of Easter is the 50 days between Easter Sunday and Pentecost Sunday.

This is the time of year when we actively celebrate the resurrected Jesus. The love of Jesus cannot be killed, destroyed or sealed away in a tomb. God would not allow this to be the end of the story. Easter was God’s response to cruelty and hatred. It is also a call for Christians to live as a resurrection people.

We are called, I believe, by God as the people of God to be the heart, hands and love of God in a world so hungry for kindness, compassion and hope. This was the true work of Jesus and he has invited you and me to continue this work. It has been my experience that the greatest acts of love are done by people who consistently perform small acts of kindness. It is my prayer for us as we live these 50 days of Easter that we will be a resurrection people willing to follow God’s calling on our loves. For in the end, only kindness matters.

Peace be with you,

Rev. Rich Rose
